Hydroservice toward green energy
Our sustainability journey continues with the installation of a photovoltaic system for energy efficiency in production facilities.
Hydroservice has always been focused on energy conservation and has already chosen to make use of photovoltaic systems in the past. However, the environmental crisis has led us to be increasingly sensitive and aware of the issue of sustainability, prompting us to focus more attention on the environment and make further efforts to limit our impact.
Although our new headquarters, built in 2018, is an innovative building in terms of energy efficiency, we have decided to further invest in a sustainable project with the installation of solar photovoltaic panels that allow us to use solar energy and generate 100 percent renewable energy to reduce CO2 emissions and curb dependence on the electricity grid, also bringing a reduction in Scope 2 emissions, one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas production.
The installed photovoltaic system will enable us to produce 100 Kw of electrical power and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 60 tons per year.
The application of sustainable strategies aims to achieve greater efficiency of business processes, with the decrease of impacts on the environment and a reduction of costs and waste, with a view to achieving our sustainability goals.
